About Us

Picture
The Hadit Collective is a new music collective born in Glasgow and raised in Birmingham. Drawn from a pool of professional musicians excited by discovering and exploring new music The Hadit Collective pushes the boundaries of new music with innovative programming of both established and up-and-coming composers. Concerts combine world premieres and repeat performances which push the often all too comfortable boundaries of new music programming and try to burst the new music bubble.

The fundamental corner stone of The Hadit Collective is to showcase diverse new music in dynamic and committed performances to anyone who will listen. The Hadit Collective strives to expand the typical audience and engage diverse communities. Striving to integrate diversity in its output by putting the audience and its communities first and foremost.

Like all the cool kids, The Hadit Collective doesn't pay attention to how old it is but what it does. We have produced eleven concerts concerts featuring 45 pieces including 35 world premieres, by 21 composers, played by 56 performers. The inaugural concert featured guest artist, Katherine Bryan, principal flute of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. Core to its artistic mission The Hadit Collective is challenging the perspective of world premieres by celebrating repeat performances canonising new music for the future.

The Hadit Collective is run by co-artistic directors, Aidan Teplitzky and Nicholas Olsen.
